Collection: Ernst Ludwig Kirchner
Ernst Ludwig Kirchner was a German painter and graphic artist and is one of the most important representatives of Expressionism. Kirchner was a founding member of the Brücke artist group. In 1937 the National Socialists branded his works “degenerate”. Over 600 of these works were subsequently sold or destroyed. A year later he died by suicide.
