Collection: Center Pompidou

The Center national d'art et de culture Georges-Pompidou, colloquially also Center Pompidou or Beaubourg, also called La Raffinerie by the locals, is a state art and cultural center in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. It was designed by the architects Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers and Gianfranco Franchini on the initiative of the former French President Georges Pompidou and opened on January 31, 1977 after a five-year construction period. The structural planner was Edmund Happold von Arup.
